Editorial support with a solid medical foundation

When you’re ready to explore working together, you’ll decide the level of editorial support that your project requires. As part of an initial discovery call, I’ll listen to your needs and expectations. Going forward, we will agree on a project fee or an hourly rate, depending on the nature of your project and your organization’s procedures. I’m happy to take on large or small projects. Once I begin working, I’ll update you regularly, respond quickly to your emails, collaborate with your team, and meet the deadline on time and on budget.

The lists below are intended to show you a sample of past projects and some of my areas of expertise. As a family physician, my clinical foundation is broad, and I’ll easily adapt to a wide variety of medical, educational, pharmaceutical, or patient-oriented topics.

“I highly recommend her as a medical editor.”

“Shannon is conscientious, prompt, detail-oriented, and smart. Her edits improved not only the US edition of our book on medical symptoms, but the international editions as well. I highly recommend her as a medical editor and am so happy to keep her on my team for future assignments!” — Lori Cates Hand, Executive Editor at DK Publishing
